Duathlon is a sporting event that include series of “running leg”, at first, and a “cycling leg” following immediately afterwards and then concluding with yet another “running leg” in a way that completely look exactly like some triathlons. All that duathlon is about a sport race of running and going around a cycle in the stages mentioned above. Everything about duathlon is that it is a race -an athletic sporting activity. Duathlon, as a sporting activity is controlled by an international body or organization called “international triathlon union”. Duathlon could be conducted at standard, sprint and long distances. The standard distance for duathlon could be agreed at 10 kilometres run, 40 kilometres on bike and 5 kilometres run. The sprint distance duathlon is these: it has a 5 kilometres run, in addition to that is the 20 kilometres bike it has and finally it has a 2.5 kilometres run. Then on the other hand, the long-distance duathlon sporting event is rounded off at these with 10 kilometres run, 150 kilometres bike and 30 kilometres.
Duathlon Training: adequate training is needled should one attain the state of perfection in this aspect of sporting. But naturally, some folks are advantaged while others are disadvantaged. Those who are advantaged are those who can run and as well can circle might end up not necessarily need training or preferably, little training. Duathlon Kit: let’s talk about the kit needed for this sport. As for the kit, much is not needed. Unlike that of triathlon where much kit is needed the reverse is the case here. To some folks, there is need to have a short for cycling and also a bib. The critics against this hold the opinion that having to wear shorts and bibs for the duathlon sport makes one look like a child that runs with a sock or a diaper and for them, it looks awkward. Also, for short distance duathlon racing, there is the need for one to have or buy a regular running short. But the most suitable customs for duathlon race is to go for either a tri-suit or tri-shorts and top. Talking of footwear, a pair of trainers is suitable especially if you have been training with it for some time now. And one more important thing is that it will be okay if you just go without socks, it is not necessary to put socks.
In comparison to other related sports, duathlon has other similar racing sport activity that is closely related to. There is a way or the other that they are related. it is notably similar to triathlons. The only difference however is that one has something to do with swimming while the other does not.
